Ministry International's tradition of word, fellowship,
and service traces back to 1992 when the Holy
Spirit moved a group of university students to
begin meeting for small group Bible studies and
witnessing Jesus Christ to their fellow students.
As they met together and discussed the Word, the
Holy Spirit continuously burned in their hearts
and the campus group began what would turn into
a history of rapid growth. Spreading their newfound
faith in Christ like wildfire, the members of
the young group dedicated themselves to evangelizing
and soon led many other students to take their
faith more seriously. Scores of thirsty souls
seeking the Truth discovered deep answers inside
of the Bible.
Soon after the surge in growth, the students’
friends from other university campuses became
interested in the group. They, too, began attending
the Bible studies and learning about the eternal
Truth set out in the Word. As they diligently
studied and understood more about the deep meaning
of the Word, the revitalizing power of the Holy
Spirit touched their hearts. Even more students
felt compelled to reach out to their campus communities
for change. Shining brightly and revealing the
passionate light within them, the now sizeable
group of students touched more and more universities
for Christ. The good news of the Gospel spread
to many fascinated students.
The hand of God worked, tying together a net
of students across the nation by faith in Jesus
Christ. The students realized the need for physical
structure and organization. Finally, in the year
2001, student leaders officially launched the
new organization, “Apostolos Campus Ministry.”
Spiritual victories soon followed and members
celebrated the recognition of ACM by the UCLA
campus in California. By the grace of God and
through the power of the Holy Spirit, the name
was adopted by an ever-increasing number of student
groups across the nation.
As students still felt the commission to spread
the Gospel, ACM overflowed into international
territory and began to spread to other countries
around the world. Foreign campuses were touched
by the Holy Spirit and ACM started to become an
international force. ACM International was quickly
born.
Today, ACM International actively ministers to
campuses around the globe. What began as a mustard
seed has expanded into ministries across North
America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia,
Australia, and even the Middle East. ACM International
is a non-denominational organization that teaches
students how to have a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ. ACM hopes that every student on
every campus worldwide may come to experience
this refreshing relationship, develop, and become
a firm believer in God. ACM’s goal is to
reveal the Truth as recorded in the Bible and
as written on the tablet of student believers’
hearts, and to help as many students as possible
understand the love of God as manifested through
Jesus Christ who died on the cross to redeem mankind.
Every year, the Holy Spirit shows that it is
still working as ACM continues to fulfill these
goals while establishing new campus chapters.
Following the tradition of the early apostles
as recorded in the Book of Acts, ACM’s main
focus is to follow the Great Commission of Jesus
Christ, running toward the goal of reaching all
nations in the name of the Father, the Son, and
the Holy Spirit. |
